Locks is a horror puzzle-platformer set in a puppet show. The game features a new type of puzzle, and the evil doesn’t chase the puppet, as it usually does in platformers, it chases you.

GAMEPLAY – Puzzles: They are the core of the game. You can rotate, move, and even flip the stage or individual props. Boss Battles: You’ll face off against bosses like a Ferris wheel, pipes, and, for example, a giant jaw. The game doesn’t hold your hand. You’ll have to re-analyze the logic in each room.

HORROR – The game’s storytelling style shifts as the plot progresses, moving from a Tim Burton-esque fairy tale to a horror style like Junji Ito’s. It feels like a collaborative horror animated film by these two masters. You’ll have to deal with the puppeteer’s frequent appearances, but don’t forget about the props, they have eyes too.

MUSIC – Each action, every step you take, is accompanied by classical instruments. The music is primarily dark and fairy tale-like. During truly scary scenes, it transforms into chaotic, off-key playing, like a saxophone solo gone wild.

Without the ability to perform chained carries, you’ll have to carefully transport your cargo while constantly fearing an enemy ambush, making for an intensely thrilling experience. You’ll need to avoid detection, watch out for traps, and proceed with extra caution. While the gameplay differs significantly from multiplayer, this mode is perfect for players seeking a truly spine-chilling horror experience.

Mission – Explore the depths of UNDERWARD and carry the «TEST-SUBJECT» monsters to the elevator.

Step 1: Search “Test Subjects” – Once you exit the elevator, scour the floor for «TEST-SUBJECT». But beware—traps and dangers are lurking everywhere. Some areas and mechanisms can only be accessed by cooperating with your teammates. It’s best to avoid venturing alone if possible. You might also find useful tools left behind in the area. Be sure to check out lockers, shelves, and any other hiding spots for gear. With luck, you may even find some highly advanced equipment.

Step 2: If they see you, run or… – There’s a chance you will encounter unknown enemies during your search. They’re attracted to noise, so stay cautious. If you hide quietly, they might pass without noticing you. Adapt to the situation as needed. But if you get spotted, run as fast as you can! Throw items you have at them—it might just help you fend them off. Even if someone gets taken down, there’s still hope for rescue. Your teammate’s location will be displayed on the screen, so act quickly and stay calm. Minimizing casualties will strengthen the team bond. But remember: the window for rescue is shrinking by the second.

Step 3: Carry and carry and carry! – Once you’ve found «TEST-SUBJECT», carry it to the elevator with all your might. Carrying the capsule creates a lot of noise, attracting enemies, so stay vigilant. Although a single investigator can’t handle the heavy capsule alone, you can perform a «Connected Carry» system with multiple players to move it faster than the enemies can catch up. However, if your teamwork falters, it could mean a one-way ticket to the afterlife. Each «TEST-SUBJECT» has a different value. We hope the team can retrieve the most valuable «TEST-SUBJECT» possible.

Then… Deeper into the “UNDERWARD” – Once you’ve met the recovery quota, proceed with the verification of the «TEST-SUBJECTS». We will operate the elevator to the next floor, so investigators should close the elevator door and wait inside. TURN ON THE SIREN – As soon as dispatch calls the alarm, you must race to your ambulance, turn on your siren, and race to the site of the accident as quickly as possible. It will take all your driving skills to navigate the crowded streets and find the best route. Time is of the essence!

SAVE LIVES – Once you reach the site of the accident, you must carefully analyze the situation to precisely determine the right treatment for each patient. Speak with them to learn about the circumstances of the accident and perform various necessary checks using the many instruments you have available and determine your initial diagnosis. Patients may react poorly to your methods if they have allergies, and some pre-existing conditions may complicate the treatment of otherwise simple issues. Most severe cases will then need to be moved into the ambulance and transported to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible. As you build your reputation, you will be assigned to new districts which have thrilling new situations and unlock new tools will be available in your ambulance.

KEEP A COOL HEAD – Catastrophic events may occur during your shifts and you must rise to the occasion. During these extraordinary situations, the number of victims increase exponentially. Methodically examine your patients and triage their care according to the severity of their injuries. You will be confronted by moral dilemmas which will directly impact your patients’ chances of survival. Underrail is an old school turn-based isometric indie role playing game that focuses on exploration and combat.

The game is set in a distant future, when the life on the Earth’s surface has long since been made impossible and the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race.

The player takes control of one of the denizens of such a station-state whose life is about to become all that much more interesting and dangerous, as our protagonist is caught midst the conflicting factions of the Underrail as the violently struggle to survive in the harsh underground environment.

This Expedition DLC expands the base campaign with many new waterway maps that connect various harbors of the Underrail as well as adds huge new region called the Black Sea, a massive underground body of water.
